Tonbridge men, women and children who died in World War 2 and later conflicts

This page links to brief obituaries of Tonbridge men whose names are commemorated on the World War 2 panels of the memorial wall in Tonbridge War Memorial Garden in Bradford Street (apart from a small number of names not yet identified). A number of men, women and children with Tonbridge connections who died in the Second World War but do not currently appear on the Tonbridge Memorial are also listed as are a few who died in later conflicts.

The summaries were researched by Pam Mills using data sites such as the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and Ancestry. Copies of photographs and further information were obtained from families, newspaper research including the Tonbridge Free Press and the Courier, and school records from Tonbridge School and The Judd School. Thanks must also go to Dave Swarbrick and Susan Featherstone (www.warmemorialsonline.org.uk) for their part in confirmation.
